The Journey

This journey is not quite like I thought it would be,
but I will keep on walking this narrow way.
Across valley's and streams,
up mountains , across plains,
for I know who is by my side.

This journey, I am not quite sure where it leads,
I just hold onto the hand of my Savior
and follow His lead.
I know there must be a reason for all
what I am going through, and I am sure
there will be a lesson to be learned.

This journey I will not give up,
even with all the pain I go through,
I will climb every mountain,
and ford every stream,
For in the end of this journey
I know I will see a rainbow
just meant for me.

This journey I know there is a cost,
but my beloved Savior died for all
on a cross,
so if by following my Savior each day,
and doing His will and surrender all
that I am,
I will take up my cross each day, through
fire and flood I will follow His lead.


This journey I am on
I cannot go wrong even when I cant see,
the future ahead in front of me.
For there in this journey lies many
treasures unseen, so much beauty,
so many gifts waiting to unfold.

This journey will take me wherever
my Savior leads,
so I hold on to His hand and know in my heart,
He will never lead me wrong.
My love and devotion are only for Him,
for He loved me long before,
this journey began.
