The Road

The road seems so long in which we all travel,
so many turns, it seems at times like we are going no where.
The road at times leaves us dusty and tired from traveling so long.
Yet through the Lords strength we seem to be able to get up,
and start again.
The road often leaves us discouraged, or even feeling helpless,
and at times the troubles and the sickness from this world slows us down.
But yet through it all, we have to remember, Christ is there,
and if we keep our focus on Him, He will give us the strength
and resources to see us all through.

The road to Calvary that day must have been so long
for our Precious Lord to travel,
After being tortured like He was, yet He kept on walking,
and the load of all men's sin must have been so heavy,
yet He kept walking, He could have called for help anytime,
yet the love HE had for all mankind, kept Him moving .
The road HE traveled was for you and I, He knew what faced
Him at the end of this road.
Each nail that was driven into His precious flesh,
was for you and I.
He died a very painful death, yet only to arise
and bring everlasting life, for us all.
His salvation and healing is for all mankind.

So when we think the road is too long,
or we cant face another trial or sickness
in our lives.
Remember this my friend,
Jesus walked the road before us,
even though He knew what was ahead,
He didnt give up, for His love for us kept Him going,
The road we have before us, we may not know what is ahead,
yet if we keep our focus of Jesus,
we need not worry, for He knows our future,
and He will take care of us, till
we meet Him at our journeys end.
