Greetings my friends, I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and I wish you all a wonderful New Year filled with many blessings. Todays Psalm is 94:19 In the multitude of my thoughts within me thy comfort delight my soul.
In the multitude of my thoughts within me, which are noisy like a multitude, crowding and jostling one another like a multitude, and very unruly and ungovernable, in the multitude of my sorrowful, solicitous, timorous thoughts, thy comforts delight my soul; and they are never more delightful than when they come in so seasonably to silence my unquiet thoughts and keep my mind easy." The world's comforts give but little delight to the soul when it is hurried with melancholy thoughts; they are songs to a heavy heart. But God's comforts will reach the soul, and not the fancy only, and will bring with them that peace and that pleasure which the smiles of the world cannot give and which the frowns of the world cannot take away.
5. God is, and will be, as a righteous Judge, the patron and protector of right and the punisher and avenger of wrong; this the psalmist had both the assurance of and the experience of. (1.) He will give redress to the injured
PSALM OF COMFORT
My heart cries out in deep dispair,
OLord, O Lord Are You there?
I lift my voice to call on His name,
The one can heal me from all my pain.
For there is no one but You dear Lord,
Who I can rely on,
No one but You Lord,
Your shoulder I can cry on.
I look to You Lord,
In the midst of my pain,
I look to You Lord,
the peace that You give comforts my soul.
Your unfailing love makes me whole.
My heart cries out to You Lord,
and I know You hear my cries for help.
You reach down and touch my weary soul.
You give me rest through this raging storm.
You hold me close, near to Your heart,
In Your arms I find rest, comfort and joy.
For You are by my side each and everyday.
I give You praise most wonderful Lord,
for you have not left me alone.
I am thankful for You unfailing love.

When Christ seems as if he slept in a storm, he is awaked by the prayers of his people; when we know not what to do, our eye must be to him (2Ch_20:12); we may be at our wits' end, but not at our faith's end, while we have such a Saviour to go to. Their address to Christ is here expressed very emphatically; Master, carest thou not that we perish? I confess this sounds somewhat harsh, rather like chiding him for sleeping or sleeping than begging him to awake. I know no excuse for it, but the great familiarity which he was pleased to admit them into, and the freedom he allowed them; and the present distress they were in, which put them into such a fright, that they knew not what they said. They do Christ a deal of wrong, who suspect him to be careless of his people in distress. The matter is not so; he is not willing that any should perish, much less any of his little ones, Mat_18:14.
So Many Blessings
There are so many blessings in this life,
How thankful we should be.
The sunrise, sunset, the mountains and streams,
Such magnificent sights to see -
Springtime splendor, the flowers in bloom,
The moon and stars at night,
Gloriously beaming down on us,
Shining their light so bright...
So many blessings flood our souls
Causing our hearts to shout,
Simple things we see each day
That some never think about.
There’s the countryside with cattle on the hills,
Peacefully feeding their young,
And the songbirds singing such melodies
Like never before heard sung.
To watch them diligently building their nest,
As each plays its own part,
Then seeing them care for the baby birds
Truly touches the heart.
Such wonderful blessings indeed,
In heaven and earth surround;
We can see them in our family and friends,
If we’ll just look around.
Let us always count our blessings,
Naming them one by one.
Then with thankful hearts we’ll worship God,
And praise Him for all He’s done.
Yes, so many blessings along life’s way,
And every one of them free;
Thank You, Lord, for giving to us
The spiritual eyes to see.
"Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings
in heavenly places in Christ"
(Ephes. 1:3)

1 Chronicles 4:10
Jabez cried out to the God of Israel, "Oh, that you would bless me and enlarge my territory! Let your hand be with me, and keep me from harm so that I will be free from pain." And God granted his request.
Whoever welcomes this little child in my name welcomes me; and whoever welcomes me welcomes the one who sent me. For he who is least among you all--he is the greatest. (Luke 9:48)
