Jesus, You have taken hold of my Hand

I was once in darkness,
Nothing could I see.
No hope was there to find,
I felt no one cared for me.
Then I heard a voice through the darkness,
He was calling out my name.
Come my child and take my hand,
You have nothing more to fear.
Jesus, You have taken hold of my hand,
and now You live in my heart.
You helped me to understand,
when darkness filled my soul.
The light of Your love came in,
and helped me to see,
The wonderful love, You have for me.
You have taken hold of my life,
and now I understand,
I have a future, You have it all planned,
dreams that I thought, would never come true,
You will make it happen,in Your time I know
You will.
For Jesus You have become my destiny,
everything I long for,I have found it in Thee.
My friend when all seems to be lost,
your life seems empty, not worth much at all.
Be still and listen,
through the darkness and you'll hear,
His voice calling, He wants you to know.
How much He loves You,
So reach out today, and take hold of His hand,
Trust Him and know, He has a wonderful plan.
